Sunny start to January 31st! Really could this be our January thaw?

Yay, the snow is back! Right? Way better than rain....that's right, bust out the ski gear, snow shoes, sleds and bundle up. It's also time to be grateful and give thanks for snow plows, anti- lock brakes and neighbor kids with snow shovels lookin to make their 1st million! Stop what you are doin and get out there....

What we are!

Yes! North east Ohio (NEO).... We are everywhere....we are located on the north coast of Ohio and the southern shore of lake Erie>.see what I'm getting at? Everywhere! No mistake by the lake! Not quite the east and not really the Midwest, the north coast is where " the northern girls,well the way they kiss, they keep their boyfriends warm at night. "say the Beach boys" We can count on a lot...no routine traffic delays, affordable housing, die hard fans tailgaiting at the muny lot,despite an ever "wait til next year" Browns team, happy hour is wherever you happen to be, the old neighborhood will never be the same, the east side is better than the west ( or vis versa) depending one which side of the cuyahoga you come from. The Plain Dealer on the driveway apron on a Sunday Morning awaits retrieval( hopefully no one will see you make the mad dash to the street in your Jammies to get it)

The day after-1/7/2112

It is a beautiful day! Rare to see the sun in the beginning of January. In true NEO style, I will shirk every and all responsibilities in order to take advantage of the unusually warm Warm outdoor conditions and suck in as much vitamin D as humanly possible. It is always my plan B!( dismiss any and all pressing indoor activities) Such as cleaning, cooking, crafting, bill paying etc....And blogging....so bye bye! Adventures await!

Living in the NEO - ( north east Ohio that is )

Yes, that's right living....in....the NEO. Living the dream! The start of another new year never gets old. A new beginning, like a new pack of fresh white paper on the first day of a new school year(only that used to be in September when I went to school- now it is August) or like the first purple crocus pushing its way toward the sun ( only freezing its but off in the snow).
Yes, that's right.....rounding the corner toward the back nine, inching ever closer, nearing longer days, yearning for the warmth of our average 66 days of full sun per year. Increased amounts of vitamin D. The newness and best intentions of resolutions to become ( whatever)in the coming 365....
This and much, much more to come in the days ahead. Ahh 2012! What ever could be in store....I do wonder on this, the 6th day of January, 2012
